Space Captain Steve

Hey guys, welcome to the official Blade Kitten website!

My name is Steve Stamatiadis also known to many as Space Captain Steve… Hey, it sounded good at the time and it’s kinda stuck.

I am a co-founder and the creative director at Krome Studios, one of the world’s leading independent video game companies. I also worked as a game/art director on the 2008 release Star Wars®: The Force Unleashed™ for the Wii™, PS2 and PSP – which was a once in a lifetime experience I will never forget.

Krome has over 300 staff now across three studios in Australia (Brisbane, Melbourne and Adelaide) which means I also get to work with some of the best videogame talent in the country. I have a pretty great job.

To top that I’m one of the lead people behind the TY the Tasmanian Tiger™ series. You may have heard of it as a kid’s series, and it is. But it’s also sold over two million copies and that’s not too shabby. I still do all the character design for the series (though I’m getting a nice break from it for the moment. It will be back sooner than you know).

Even with all that cool stuff I’m still a borderline OCD designer and I have to draw all the cool stuff in my head. So that’s how I like to spend my spare time… when I’m not playing games. This brings me back to Blade Kitten.

From the original concept to the comic series, I have been dying to see Kit’s universe hit the screen. I devoted a lot of my spare time over the years to creating a visually stunning, creative world for Kit and her friends to live in. I can’t wait to see fans around the world kicking butt as a pink haired cat girl bounty hunter.

Please drop us a line on the forums and say “Hi”, “Hola”, “Aloha” or whatever you please.
